The Story Behind the Magic
Josie Ann Lee is a keynote speaker, consultant, and coach who believes the greatest magic in leadership begins with service. With a signature blend of humor, heart, and real-world strategy, she helps leaders build human-centered teams and service-rooted systems that make people feel seen, heard, and valued—not just in moments, but in every interaction.
Josie’s passion for leadership was born behind the counter of her family’s small-town store, Hickory Market, where she learned early on that the heart of any great business isn’t what you sell—it’s how you serve. Watching her parents care deeply for their community shaped her belief that service isn’t just a task—it’s a way of being.
She went on to study psychology at the University of Michigan, and later honed her skills in communication, storytelling, and improv at Second City in Chicago. Josie has also trained with The Speaker Lab, and is an active member of the National Speakers Association, constantly refining her craft and staying connected to the evolving needs of today’s audiences.
As a seasoned entrepreneur, Josie has led businesses through turnarounds, expansions, and team transformations. Her lived experience building and leading organizations—along with her knack for making complex ideas feel simple and actionable—makes her an invaluable voice in rooms where culture, leadership, and service need to shift.
Today, she brings all of that experience to stages, boardrooms, and breakout sessions—guiding organizations to turn intention into action, and helping people lead with clarity, connection, and care.
Because for Josie, service isn’t just something you define—it’s something you live.
